FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON – “Classroom Writing Prompt Journals – FREEBIE”

To celebrate 500 followers (seriously, you guys rock!!) Here is a fun freebie to spruce up your writing centers!! It includes 30 writing prompt/classroom book covers. Here’s how I use them (feel free to use anyway you’d like). Print them out (and laminate for durability). Then I run the writing paper back to back, this offers pages with a front and back. Then each student in the class makes a page responding to the prompt. After they are done, I bind each student’s page using the prompt as the cover. Now you have a classroom book! I put them in our classroom library, and do a drawing for them at the end of the year. I hope you enjoy!!

Enjoy these FREE St. Patrick’s Day math task cards that have your students solving math problems in order to collect letters. Tape the cards around the room (optional) and let students circulate, solving the cards in any order. Once all the math problems are solved, students will have all the letters they need to reveal Stumpy’s rhyming words.

AAC users need opportunities to practice using core words both in context and out. Practice using the top 2 word phrase “take off” with engaging graphics by pointing to the symbol on the small communication board. The top five 2-word phrases include take off, put on, clean up, get out, and fall down.

If you’re supporting AAC users or students with minimal language in telepractice – or even if you’re just looking for independent practice – this no print activity resource is for you. There are 8 cards in the sequence.

This download contains a sample of worksheets from the product My Alphabet Writing Book

Use these Alphabet Handwriting books to help early learners practice letter recognition and writing.

Included is a worksheet for every letter in the alphabet. On each worksheet, students colour the image and trace over the letters (upper case and lower case). They also trace over words starting with the letter and the simple sentence.

Each worksheet also includes a clip art, black and white image of an animal starting with that letter that students can also recall and colour. This could be great for rotations (centres), or daily practice.

Often when you ask children how they show their love to others, they respond with a hug or a kiss. This free resource includes a poem which makes the point that showing your love to others is taking your eye off yourself and putting it on someone you care about. It allows for a great discussion. Children learn that there are many ways to show people that you love them. The poem in this packet describes some everyday ways to do this. This free packet of adorable Valentine Math and Reading Activities will provide fun and excitement for your PreK-2nd grade classes. In the sight words Valentine heart puzzle, students will color various site words from the Common Core a specified color. On the number recognition activity, students will connect the numbers from 1 to 20 in a dot to dot that produces a Valentine heart. On the initial sounds activity, students must identify the initial sound of the given picture and write it in the box to produce a secret message of “Be My Valentine”.

While the free packet contains 3 activities to give you a sample, the same concepts are extended with 6 more acitivites in another Valentine packet.
