7th – 10th Grade
This complete lesson contains a little bit of everything from reading, writing, language analysis, class discussions and even options for group work.
It would be great as a back-to-school lesson, or as a one off, engaging lesson for a substitute to teach.
CONTENTS
– Three suggested lesson plans for using the resources contained within this product.
– Four unique reading passages which provide brief snapshots into the lives of four individuals on the first day of school (a teacher and four students). As you will see, these stories can stand alone, but they are also clearly and cleverly interwoven.
– Four creative worksheets to help students analyze these passages in terms of grammar, language, content and meaning.
– A one-page handout with writing prompts based on these stories.
PLEASE NOTE: All four passages used in this resources were written by Lara Ferrari: Storyteller, Copywriter, Wordsmith. © Lara Ferrari 2015
