In my classroom, we talk a lot about setting goals and working towards learning targets. Whether those targets are academic, work habits, or social, they are all important for your students’ success. Target Tags have been an amazing addition to my classroom! They have helped my students more clearly understand the learning targets, work habits, and behaviors that I am looking for in my classroom. Students love to share their Target Tags at with their parents at conference time. They can speak confidently about which targets they are doing well with, and which ones they are still working on.

This fun Superhero freebie will help set the tone for an awesome year!

My Target Tags measure 2 in. tall by 1.5 in. wide. This allows 25 tags to fit on each page, so one page of each tag will be enough for most classrooms. *NOTE: If you prefer larger tags, however, you can print out the tags at a custom zoom level of 130-135% and change the orientation to landscape. This will print out 15 on a page.

Digital ELA Morning Work 2nd Grade Google™ Slides Week 18

Are you ready to give morning work or {daily language} that is fun and engaging? I have taken my popular morning work and created GOOGLE™ Slides from it.

Language Board Games. Grab this set of 10 FREE, one-page language game boards! Just PRINT AND PLAY! Each game covers one of the following topics: fruits, vegetables, foods, school, pets, daily routines, landforms/places, buildings, hobbies, and body parts. Focus on: foreign language practice (Spanish, Mandarin, French, German), English language practice, speech and language skills, sentence formation, turn taking, and more!

DIRECTIONS: Add game pieces and one die. On your turn, roll. When you land on an item, you can: 1) name the action/object or 2) use it in a sentence. The first person to make it to “FINISH” wins!

The games are purposefully open-ended, allowing teachers to focus on skills that students need. For example, I created these games to use at home with my children as they study Mandarin. My younger son uses the games for learning basic vocabulary. My older children must use the actions/objects in a sentence.

***The boards are in color to make them more appealing to students. However, if you open the file with ADOBE READER, you can print them in grayscale to save ink. Just open the “Print” window and check the box labeled “Print in grayscale” in the top center.***
