Digital ELA Morning Work 2nd Grade Google™ Slides Week 18

Are you ready to give morning work or {daily language} that is fun and engaging? I have taken my popular morning work and created GOOGLE™ Slides from it.

This set is divided among 5 days (50 task cards). Each day is color-coded and consists of 10 cards with some cards having multiple problems on the task card.

The first page is the menu and will help students navigate to get to the correct day for that week. Once a student finishes the last task card for the day, they will automatically be taken back to the menu.

Language Board Games. Grab this set of 10 FREE, one-page language game boards! Just PRINT AND PLAY! Each game covers one of the following topics: fruits, vegetables, foods, school, pets, daily routines, landforms/places, buildings, hobbies, and body parts. Focus on: foreign language practice (Spanish, Mandarin, French, German), English language practice, speech and language skills, sentence formation, turn taking, and more!

DIRECTIONS: Add game pieces and one die. On your turn, roll. When you land on an item, you can: 1) name the action/object or 2) use it in a sentence. The first person to make it to “FINISH” wins!

The games are purposefully open-ended, allowing teachers to focus on skills that students need. For example, I created these games to use at home with my children as they study Mandarin. My younger son uses the games for learning basic vocabulary. My older children must use the actions/objects in a sentence.

***The boards are in color to make them more appealing to students. However, if you open the file with ADOBE READER, you can print them in grayscale to save ink. Just open the “Print” window and check the box labeled “Print in grayscale” in the top center.***

I created these for preschool and early learners, however added another option which is slightly more challenging to be used with magnifying glasses and this would suit kindergarteners. A number of options are included in this download, see below.

Just set it up once, and this Student Name Picker is ready for the year! Use several options for different classroom needs. This is a great addition to your total participation techniques toolbox!

Three different Powerpoints are included so you can choose which design you like best. A complete step-by-step direction file is also included. You must have Powerpoint to use the file correctly, and if you receive an alert message you must select to ENABLE MACROS. This system will not work on Apple products, or in Google Slides.
