Each symbol is worth 10. Skip count by 10s to find the sum.

Students are asked to skip count by 10s up to groups of 10.

For more advanced students, I recommend having them write a repeated addition and/or multiplication sentence to represent each question.

Center and Game

This is a center to help students practice decoding individual phonemes and then blending the sounds together to read. Using real and nonsense words helps students to really focus on each individual phoneme. You are able to assess their knowledge of the each specific sound, because students are reading words that they have never encountered before (nonsense words).

Students will read the words on the fish and then sort onto the real or nonsense mat. This makes the reading process fun!

This product is great for kindergarten, RTI, special education, homeschool, and for any child that needs extra practice in decoding and blending CVC words!

This Boom Card set for metric system skills contains a sampling of 6 cards with metric conversions, metric word stories, and comparisons of various metric lengths. Great for online, hybrid, or blended learning and integrates easily with Google Classroom, Schoology Powerschool, and Canvas. Interactive, easy to use, and no prep – PLUS students get immediate feedback on their answers!

Appropriate for any middle school class or even as a quick review for 9th graders. This is a great activity for students to practice fluency of addition and subtraction equations within 5. Students will drag and drop the 2 equivalent equations to the scale. (You can even differentiate this activity by putting one of the equations on one side of the scale so students have to find the equivalent equation.)

This is a digital assignment that should be used with Google Slides. Watch this video tutorial to see how to add and assign this resource to your Google Classroom. I also have aBoom cards version of this activity.

What is BOOM the ROOM?!

It’s like “Write the Room”…

WIth digital, self-checking, data-collecting components.

(Makes Write the Room seem so yesterday, right?!) Your kiddos get moving and you have reports to show their learning.

How does Boom the Room work?

Print the task cards on white or colorful paper. (They are b/w for simplicity and savings.) Post the task cards around your room. You can put them in random locations every time.

OR

Print the free BOOM the ROOM posters found HERE. Laminate the posters.

Students will know where to look every time for the corresponding numbers on the Boom card deck.

Once you’ve posted the task cards, assign the corresponding Boom card deck to your students. This is your chance to differentiate by assigning different card decks to different groups.

Students will move around the room to complete the Boom card decks.

The decks will automatically randomize with each play so you can assign the decks over and over again to achieve fluency or mastery.

Students can give a designated signal to ask for help. This will allow you to provide targeted support and instruction. BOOM!

Use this Daily Language Review program to help your students master editing and parts of speech, and improve their writing!

This daily language review incorporates peer teaching to address 6th grade Common Core Standards.

This easy-prep Partner Daily Language provides:

  • Editing practice
  • Parts of speech identification

  • Basis for understanding WHY editing changes are made
  • Sentences about Hawaii – the sentences in this week are a little easier than future sentences – it’s important to learn the procedure with easier sentences
