Shrove Tuesday better known as Mardi Gras will be celebrated this year on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Shrove Tuesday is considered the last day prior to the fasting period of Lent (for Western Chrisitans). This year there are 47 days until Easter Sunday. Other names for Shrove Tuesday or Mardi Gras or also Fat Tuesday or Pancake Tuesday. The states that observe Mardi Gras are Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi!
