Building Language with Toys is meant to be a starting point for knowing how to use toys to build your child’s language.
The ‘old-fashioned,’ pre-technology toys are often some of the best toys for developing language skills, because they are more open ended and require some action or interaction.
The examples provided list ideas for building receptive language (understanding) and expressive language (spoken output or use of AAC system)
