Use this one-page graphic organizer as a way for your kids to practice key reading skills like: connections, predictions, questions, visualizations, summaries and inferences.

I use this as a way for my kids to record their thinking during independent reading/ Daily Five/ Reader’s Workshop time – each shape corresponds to a skill they’ve learned in class! This could also be a quick assessment for you to see how students’ thinking is progressing.
