This is one of my favorite vocabulary activities to do with students. It asks them to re-write the part of speech, definition, synonyms and antonyms for two words within the unit and then create a sentence using BOTH words. The purpose of this activity is to encourage students to find the connections between words and how they relate to one another. Teachers can assess their processing, how they use words in a sentence, their grammar and punctuation all in one exercise.
