Don’t be scared to teach your little ones about narrative writing! Here’s a freebie with a chart and two leveled writing frames. Students can draw to organize their thinking. Then they can use the frame to write a narrative that includes details and a reaction. This activity is a treat that will help you teach this tricky standard:

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.K.3
Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to narrate a single event or several loosely linked events, tell about the EVENTS in which they occurred, AND provide a REACTION to what happened.
