FREE MATH LESSON – “Integer Addition and Subtraction Scavenger Hunt (TEKS 6.3D, 7.3A)”

by Room B214
6th – 7th Grade

This activity will get your students up and moving all while working collaboratively in partners or small groups. Each card has an addition or subtraction question with positive and negative integers. You can use this as an informal assessment after the number operations unit or as a great review before STAAR or a unit test. I also use this activity with my 7th graders to review positive and negative rules before starting our rational number unit.

This activity includes a sheet for students to write their answers and show their work on, as well as a teacher answer key.

TEKS:

6.3D add, subtract integers fluently

7.3A add, subtract rational numbers fluently.
