These addition facts are aligned to the strategy sequence found in Math Running Records in Action (Routledge 2016) by Dr. Nicki Newton. They may accompany Dr. Nicki Newton’s Math Running Records protocol. Flash cards for the following strategies are provided:

•Add 0

•Add 1

•Add within 5

•Add within 10

•Add Making a 10

•Add 10 to a Number

•Add Doubles

•Add Doubles +/- 1

•Add Doubles +/- 2

•Add Higher Facts – Compensation with 9

•Add Higher Facts – Compensation with 7/8

Kindergarten teachers may use facts through 5, first grade through 10, and second grade through 20.
