These flip cards have been a huge help in managing my class during independent work, group work, and even tests! These colorful cards help me quickly scan the room for students that need help.
When my students have a question, I want them to continue doing what they can while they wait for me to become available. Each student has a flip card that starts face down on their desk. Instead of raising their hands when they have a question, students flip their “I Need Help!” card, colored side up. They know that I will help them when I can, and in the meantime, they can stay focused on the task.
