Different kindness campaigns across the US hide rocks with kind messages, bright pictures, or inspiring quotes on them. This fun, meaningful project is low-budget and high-impact: using art supplies that you already have and rocks your class finds outside, you can make a masterpiece!
This is an easy art project that supplements social-emotional learning and community engagement. Perfect for the end of the school year, before a field trip, or as a fun way of spreading cheer around the playground!
Simply collect rocks, paint them, affix a label to the back, cover in modge podge or clear glue, and hide in any appropriate public place! For even more fun, add a hashtag or start a facebook page so folks who find your rocks (and are inspired to create their own rocks!) can post pictures of where they find and rehide yours.
