Free Science Vocabulary Folder from The Science Penguin
This file includes 20 pages of terms. At the end of the file, there is an editable page where you can type your own terms in a text box to customize it for your students’ needs.
Science Vocabulary Notebooks have been incredibly useful to me and my students this year already. Students are required to write the definition of each term, draw a picture, and add color. I encourage them to use more creative illustrations as well (like by using the letters in interesting ways, an example is using a graduated cylinder for the “L” in the word “volume”).
Here are some options you can offer students or require for each term:

synonyms (if there are any)
pictures
symbols
word drawing
understanding rating 1-4
characteristics of the term
examples and non-examples
While the terms may not be appropriate for grades outside of 3-5, you can make it your own by typing your own terms on the editable page!
