FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON – “*FREE* Writing Visual Feedback Icons for Early Writers (Editable)” Recently updated !
by Peter NZ
Pre-Kindergarten – 1st Grade
Do you struggle with giving feedback to your early writers who might not be able to read your comments? Are you looking for a way to give your students meaningful feedback in a timely manner? Perhaps you need to try using visual icons!
This free editable download contains 17 icons you can use to tell your little writers what they’ve done well and what their next steps are. I have a big copy of this as a poster to refer to when I model writing to my students. I then draw these icons onto my students writing where they show evidence of meeting the writing goal. The icons can be drawn or stuck onto blank pages to remind students of their learning goals too.
