Pre-Kindergarten – 12th Grade

These vocabulary / vocab cards are made with real photos / pictures and can be used as: flashcards, communication cards for special needs (Speech and Language, Autism, etc.), expand vocabulary with ESL students or younger students, as part of your word wall / spelling program, part of your thematic bulletin board, alongside your dramatic play center, put out with your provocation table, talk about the picture, used during class discussions times, create a personalized story and much more.

They come in 4 sizes (full page, half page, rectangular, square no words). This offers a wide range of versatility as you could use the large size for teacher use / put under your document camera / project on your screen. The smaller sizes could be used when one-on-one with students, to put at activities / stations or displayed on the wall. The rectangular size can be used in pocket charts or within an activity small group game.

This set includes:

-5 themed graduation related sight words w/ real photos
-4 sizes for each word (full page, half page, rectangular, square no words)

Although in colour, you can easily print in black and white tones by changing your printer setting to greyscale. You can also resize your page if you would like the cards to be a different size than the four options.

I have included three different types of grids (bigger intervals, smaller intervals, and “hash marks” only with no grid lines) to suit your learners best. “Father’s Day Coupons – Free Sample Pack” is a free product which has the same three versions of coupons found in my “Father’s Day Coupons – Three Versions” which you may purchase at http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Fathers-Day-Coupons-3-Versions-84337.

If you would like to have more coupons than this sample pack, “Father’s Day Coupons – Three Versions” has 36 coupons per set. Similar to this sample pack, the first version has space for the students to draw a picture for that particular coupon. The second version has the students trace over the dotted letters of each coupon. In the third version the students do not have to write on the actual coupon, but may create a cover for the coupons.

I have given you three covers in my “Father’s Day Coupons – Free Sample Pack.” If you purchase my “Father’s Day Coupons – Three Versions,” you will receive ten covers for Sets #1 and #3 and four covers for Set #2.

Be sure to punch two holes on the sides of the coupons. Use ribbon and the two holes to secure the coupon booklet. If you do not have ribbon, simply staple the coupons together.

Remember the Father’s Day cards we made back in elementary school? Let’s revisit that tradition for our middle- and high-school students with these print-and-go materials that’ll make a bunch of dads (and father figures) feel appreciated on their special day.

Included:

• A student handout featuring eight slices of poetry about fathers/masculine power.

• Six coloring pages that fold in half to become cards (Print on white paper, colored paper, or cardstock – grab whatever’s available in the copier room and go!)

Suggested lesson procedure:

1. Begin by handing out the page that includes eight bits of poetry, giving students a few minutes to read them all.

2. Have students choose the poem that reminds them most of their father/closest paternal figure.

3. Give students a choice of card designs.

4. Inside the card, have them write a loving note to the recipient and include the lines of poetry in their best handwriting.

5. With any remaining time in class, have students color the front of the card with colored pencils or sharp-tipped markers. The coloring portion can be completed in class if time allows or sent home for students to complete on their own time.

Tip: When printing the cards, choose “Print Full Size” on your printer settings. If you choose “Scale to Fit” (the default on many printers), your cards may have unevenly spaced borders.

Distance learning has definitely taught me a lot about teaching online! One of the challenges that I have encountered has been keeping up with missing, late work, or revisions.

I created these Google Slides to help my students and I keep track of their weekly assignments.

The first slide is a daily “check-in” slide for students.
The second slide is for the end of the week and requires students to go back through all of the assignments from the week and enter their grade.
