A fun free New Years Activity 2021! Students make New Year resolutions by making their promises to themselves, their family, their teacher, their friends, their neighbors and their world on balloons! Two sheets included. Choose to do one or both activities. After the balloons are colored and decorated, display the pages as they are on your bulletin board or in your hallway. You can also have students cut out the balloons to make a display. An additional fun activity is to have students write on real balloons with permanent markers. Good for first day back from break. Happy New Year!

Digital and Print: I have also made a TPT Digital Activity all ready to go for distance learning with a digital pen tool, highlighter, and text boxes for students to type their answers. It is an Interactive layer over the original pdf to use on the TPT platform. You assign it online via Google Classroom. Pre-Kindergarten – Kindergarten

Reinforce types of polar life with this adorable reader. It will add plenty of pizzazz to your polar life studies! Read this predictable booklet during circle time, in shared reading, in your literacy center, with your whole class, and with small groups, too.

This is a sample from
Polar Life Songs and Rhymes

Appropriate for use in Daycare, Preschool, Kindergarten, and Homeschool. I hope you and your students enjoy it!

To make this booklet, each child will need:
1. A set of the half-page booklet pages (pages 3 – 6).
2. Art supplies – scissors, pencils, crayons (or alternately use thinned paints, stamps and pads, white sticky dots for snow, doilies (cut bits out for snowflakes), construction paper scraps & glue).

Directions
1. Have each child cut out and stack the booklet pages in order. Staple along the left side. Have her color the picture and write her name on the title page.
2. Direct students to color the pictures on each page (or watercolor or fingerpaint!).
3. On the final page, have each child draw a self portrait and surround themselves with snowflakes!
4. A fun way to complete this reader is to use a different art technique on each page. For example, use crayon resist with white crayons and thinned paint, glitter glue, cotton balls, doily snowflakes, fingerprint snow with thinned, white paint, use puffy paint, etc.

Targeted for students in kindergarten, first, second, and third grade. Teachers could make several copies and laminate to use in literacy stations or make copies for the classroom so students can work together.

Cut out the reindeer number sentence cards, laminate for durability and place them around your room. Give each child a recording sheet and let them get some wiggles out while also being productive and practicing their math skills!

There are 2 different levels included. The first group of reindeer can be used for “Adding Doubles and 0” and the second group is for
“adding 1” to help accommodate different learning levels.

This is a great listening center with Christmas video songs. The students will scan the QR codes and listen to their favorite Christmas song.

All you need is an iPad, iPod, tablet, etc and download the free QR reader app. The students will use this app to scan the QR codes and become actively engaged listening and watching Christmas video songs.

Enjoy this freebie in the coming days before Christmas!

The theme is all things Christmas and the skill is beginning sounds.

Directions to play:
*Cut out the cards and place them on desks or around the classroom
*Have each child take a recording sheet
*Give the students a minute or two to read the clue and write the response.
*When you feel the class is ready to move to the next clue say “SCOOT”!
*Continue until all clues have been answered.
*When the class is done share the answer key for them to correct their work.

This is a display I made up for The Ten Commandments. Simply print, laminate and off you go! I have adapted the wording and put into a more kid-friendly phrasing!

You could also use these cards for the kiddo’s to put the commandments in the right sequence.

I’ve been using them with magnets as I talk about each one, and getting the kids to guess what each one is about based on the images!

I am looking forward to hearing how you use these in your class. I hope you have as much fun with them as I do!

This FREE star themed activity is great to use any time of the year, but is perfect for the Christmas/Chanukah/Kwanzaa season.

Students will rearrange equations into slope-intercept form (solve for y in terms of x). Then they will identify the slope or y-intercept.

Make practice more fun with this eight question self-checking activity!

An answer key is included along with an optional student outline for showing work.

The download includes both color and black-and-white copies of the worksheet.
