Need an auditory memory activity that will be fun and engaging? This no prep digital Boom Cards brain exercise activity is perfect for practicing listening and thinking skills and developing auditory memory! Your kiddos will be able to practice shapes and colours while listening to and remembering instructions which they will need to follow.

This mind game activity can be used for distance or hybrid learning – or face to face teaching!

How this Auditory Memory Activity works:

  • Students will be given an auditory instruction, telling them to put something in a basket.
  • The students then move to the next card and need to drag a shape into the basket that fits the description in the instruction they were given.
  • Initially they are told either what shape OR what color item to put in the basket. They can choose any item that fits the instruction they have been given. The students are required to remember only one thing – EITHER a shape OR a colour.
  • In the last question the instructions become more specific – they get told the shape AND color of the item they must put in the basket. There will now only be one possible correct item for them to place in the basket. The difficulty increases as the students are now required to remember two things – BOTH a shape AND a colour.
  • In this level, students are only expected to remember one item that they must place in the basket.

This fun Brain Development Activity includes:

  • 9 Boom Cards altogether
  • 1 instruction card
  • 4 cards with auditory instructions that students will need to follow on the next card.
  • 4 cards for students to carry out the instructions they received on the previous card
  • Interactive drag and drop format
  • Boom Cards are self-checking and students get instant feedback!

The Classifying Polygons Google Slides Sampler includes a dozen interactive digital task cards designed to help students learn to classify different types of polygons including quadrilaterals and triangles. There are two versions of the slide deck in this product; one has hidden answers for students to uncover and the other version only has the digital task cards. This freebie also includes step-by-step directions for the teacher that explain how to assign the slides to your students for independent assessments as well as cooperative learning lessons.

The interactive slides in the Classifying Polygons Google Slides Sampler use a variety of different response types, including multiple choice, drag and drop movable pieces, and fill-in-the-blank problems. Google Slides activities can be used on most computers and mobile device tablets. This deck of interactive digital task cards is perfect for both classroom use and distance learning.

Classifying Polygons Google Slides Bundle

The 12 slides in this sampler were taken from the three products that make up my Classifying Polygons Google Slides Bundle. Each deck in the bundle includes at least 30 unique Google Slides for practicing a specific concept. The background color of each card in the sample deck indicates which deck it was taken from.

Please be aware that these interactive Google Slides are NOT self-grading, although two types of answer keys are provided. These digital task cards were designed to foster active engagement during whole group instruction, in small guided math groups, and when used for cooperative learning lessons.

This Google Drive resource provides you with a sample of the digital bullet notes. These are pulled from the 5th Grade Bullet Notes bundle. Students can use them in slides by inserting text boxes or annotating in apps like Notability.

About Bullet Notes: {Details about the complete Bullet Notes Resource}

Say hello to FREEDOM for your students from traditional 5th Grade Math notes! Allow your students to organize their thoughts in a way that makes sense for them! They can circle, underline, bullet, color, doodle… the opportunities are endless! These notes provide students with less structure than my traditional guided notes and are not as busy as more doodle-style notes.

40 different 5th Grade Math skills are included (check out the preview) and come in both a slightly structured form and completely blank. You are able to add/delete/duplicate and move pages to make this resource perfect for your students!

Also included are organization pages such as a table of contents, calendar planning pages, goal setting and more.

An editable template is included so you can structure your own notes and calendar pages. PowerPoint must be installed to use the template.

Instructional video links are included as well to help you customize either the template OR the PDF itself.

FAQ

  1. Are these notes good for all students? Honestly, no. Some students need structure and need traditional guided notes. These notes are good for students who are able to take notes without so much structure.
  2. Are these CCSS or TEKS aligned? The notes work with my 5th Grade Math Curriculum. If you are using my curriculum, they will work alongside it well and give you the opportunity to scaffold the way you give notes.
  3. Is there an answer key? Yes! There are “sample” pages with answers and sample problems when applicable (taken from my curriculum notes). But please do not make your students think their notes have to look like the sample (you shouldn’t think that either!) Creativity and personality need to come into play!
  4. Is it editable? Yes and no. The PDF is not editable but a 50 slide PowerPoint is included that contains all of the skill pages and blank student organization pages so you can make them your own!
  5. Are these included in any bundle? Yes! Yes! A 6th – 8th Grade Bullet Notes Bundle is available!

In this fun and engaging activity, students will practice dividing whole numbers (with 1- and 2-digit divisors, and some remainders as fractions) as they color! Students will use their answers to color a the mandala to reveal a beautiful, colorful pattern that makes excellent classroom decor!

This no-prep activity is an excellent resource for sub plans, enrichment/reinforcement, early finishers, and extra practice with some fun. It is especially useful for end-of-year practice, spiral review, and motivated practice when students are exhausted from standardized testing or mentally “checked out” before a long break (hello summer!). Even unmotivated students enjoy coloring, so give them the opportunity to enjoy practicing their skills with this motivating color-by-number activity!

These antonym task cards are part of my Antonym Unit.

These antonym task cards are used in work stations. There are 20 cards that practice using antonyms in 4 different forms.

These can also be used in groups of 2 or 3 kids.

Laminate them and let the students use dry erase markers to circle the answer. You can also have students write the answers on a piece of paper.

This aligns with CCSS ELA-Literacy.L.1.5, ELA-Literacy.L.2.5, and ELA-Literacy.L.3.5.

For Third and Fourth Grade Math Centers and Multi level activity! Math is ALWAYS about the questioning! Take time to ask students what they notice about the factor pairs in their sort. Ask why they think those particular products were grouped in the same sort. Ask them to find a pair of facts where one factor is double and one factor is half of the other factor pair. (Like 7 X 4 and 14 x 2) Ask them to find pairs that are 3 times greater and 3 times less. (Like 9×4 and 3×12) Are there other relationships? Find 2 different relationships. Now write YOUR OWN examples. etc… 🙂

*6 Templates (consider using also in wipe of sleeves with student generated equations)

*5 Basic Multiplication Sorts

*1 Higher Level Sort

*1 Blank Sort Template for Student Generated Sorts

*3 Follow Up Activities to Help Learners Make those Connections

These sorts move from simple facts to more sophisticated facts building on important relationships! As we learn multiplication and division, we need LOTS and LOTS of experiences considering relationships and patterns. There are 6 sorts you can use repeatedly and a blank for students to apply their understanding to make their own if you like. There are also some “exit ticket” activities to make sure students are considering the patterns and relationships we need them to appreciate!
