This fairy tale readers’ theatre script is especially written for French language learners, with roles for Beginning, Early Transitional and Fluent readers. Reading levels are geared towards French Immersion/Dual Language Grade 1 and 2 students, but could be used with any beginner-low intermediate French Language class.

Voici un texte de conte de fées pour le théâtre des lecteurs avec des rôles pour les lecteurs debutants, les lecteurs en transition-début et ceux qui lisent à l’aise. La pièce est écrite spécifiquement pour les élèves de 1re et 2ième année en programme d’immersion mais peuvent être aussi utilisés avec des classes de langue française de niveau débutant à intermédiaire bas. En détail:

This is a writing prompt that I added a cute frame to.I like to save paper so I put two on the page. The prompt asks what would you do if you were in charge of your house. It also includes a short checklist for things like punctuation and capitals.Good for grade 2 but probably you could use it for grades 1 and 3 as well. This sampler is part of my Arithmetic Picnic task card set. This sampler includes 15 task cards and 5 heading cards. The cards cover addition word problems, reading number words, and base ten block representation.

Students work together to locate three cards that all share the same
answer on a heading card.

These cards work great for small groups, centers, and head band activities. They are a nice break from traditional seat work.

These cards were designed to meet CCSS 3.NBT.2. They would
also work well towards the end of the 2nd grade year.

Here’s a simple, low prep activity for grade 3-8 students to practice following directions. To use simply print multiple copies of the “letters” page and just one copy of the directions to be read aloud. Supply students with pencils, crayons/colored pencils and give each student one copy of the “letters’ page. Review good listening behaviors and then read the direction aloud to the students. Teaching with the quote cards helps students develop positive peer interactions and encourages them to do their best by acknowledging their efforts and strengths. They learn solutions to real-life problems and are taught ways to encourage others and themselves through positive self-talk.

Young children need emotional training and must be coached with words to use as they learn coping skills, learn how to solve their conflicts without anger and learn how to work and play with other children without fighting. Therefore, this resource can be used with very young children as well as upper elementary.

According to Daniel Goleman, childhood is “a special window of opportunity for shaping children’s emotional habits.” We must help children recognize and understand their emotions and the emotions of others. If children learn to persevere and accept mistakes as a natural part of learning, they will be better able to control themselves and handle their frustrations in positive ways.

This is a mixed addition and subtraction math activity to use with Google Classroom™ or Google Drive™! Students will enjoy the summer fun kids at the beach theme as they practice with this self correcting, interactive Google Classroom™ activity. Adding or subtracting multiples of ten, single digit numbers to or from two-digit numbers, and single digit numbers to or from single digit numbers are included.

Students will click on a symbol on the home page and be taken to a random slide with an addition or subtraction problem. Students will find the answer to the problem, record their answer, and check their work by touching or clicking their answer. If the student clicks on a correct answer, a slide with “Way to Go!” will pop up. If the student clicks on an incorrect answer a slide with “Try Again, You’ll Get It Next Time” will pop up.

Students can tally correct answers on the tally slide projected on an interactive white board, if you wish or you can copy the black and white points slide for students to use.This is great for end of the year review in first grade or beginning of the year review in second grade.

FREE MATH LESSON – “Number Counting Match Cards”

These number matching flashcards are great for teaching beginning learners(preschool/kindergarten). Included in this set are 8 pages to print and cut. There are 4 cards per-page just numbers 1-10. I would suggest printing them on card stock, and even laminating them.

Directions:

Print and cut out each card (cardstock works well). Mix the cards up and have your child/student match the written number to the card with the corresponding number of pencils.

You can also place all the cards facedown and have your child play “matching.” Each player takes turns turning over two cards. If they match, the player can keep the cards. The player with the most matches at the end wins.

Students use Five Frame cards to decompose numbers. The cards are moved around to show various combinations. When children feel confident of their combinations, they write them on a recording sheet.

Directions for creating five frame cards from index cards are included as well as an optional template that can be used to create the cards.

In this fun game, students race against their opponent to solve one step equations. Each student has a set of the same problems, while they share one writing utensil. Players take turns completing problems and rolling a die. One player completes as many problems as they can before their opponent rolls a one and wins the pencil. Play continues until one player completes all of the problems on his/her sheet.

Addition Tic-Tac-Toe Math Center are designed to give students practice with 3-digit addition without regrouping.

Students work with a partner to play tic-tac-toe with a twist. Each space on the tic-tac-toe board is marked with an addition problem. In order to cover the space, the student must correctly solve the problem and find the card with the matching solution to claim the space. Traditional tic-tac-toe rules apply. To win, a student must get 3 in a row or 3 in a column or 3 diagonally.
