There are 2 sets of calendar pieces included to use in any pattern you’d like to create. On our daily Calendar page, my students draw the corresponding pictures along with the date. I give them green and red crayons to use and by the end of the month, their calendar looks great!

Prompt students to complete the organizer with questions about specific topics. I have placed a few possibilities below, but I’m sure you can do much more with it.

* What questions do you have about your book?

* If you could interview anyone in the world, dead or alive, what questions would you ask him/her?

* What questions do you have for your future self?

* Have you ever wondered how your grandparents met? What questions do you have about their first meeting?

* What are some of the most important questions you should ask when you are lost?

*Think about what you want to be doing or who you want to be when you grow up. What questions do you have for someone who is doing those things today?

* Write down some of the burning questions you’ve always wanted to ask and the ones that were never answered.

* What questions would you ask an alien?

* If animals could talk, what are some of the questions you would ask them?

FREE MATH LESSON – “Fold It Up – Ladder Method for GCF, LCM, and Factoring!”

The ladder method is a fantastic way to find GCF and LCM, and is also a great way to help students understand the basics of factoring! This fold it up has a visual on the outside flaps, for students to refer to, and typed directions for the inside – you can print and copy both sides so the directions are on the inside, or you can have students write them in themselves.

Just cut out the large square, fold the triangles into the center, and put into your interactive notebook!

For prime factorization practice, your students might enjoy Prime Factorization Color by Number.
