The second page is a matching activity. The third page is filling in the blanks. The fourth page is a bin sorting activity. The fifth page is a vortex sorting activity. The sixth page is a blank page for adding other words that use the hard “c” or the soft “c”.

Have you ever told your students to take notes and they either highlight almost everything (sometimes even changing colors with their fancy highlighters to make it look like a rainbow pattern) or they take bullet points on everything? Did you know that there is a Random Acts of Kindness Week? It runs from February 16 through the 23rd. Actually, this is the first I’ve heard of it, but what a groovy way for all of us to unite by being kind to each other. Project on a whiteboard so everyone can see. Each slide of the video has a sight word on it. It will show for 4 seconds before moving on to the next word. After 6 words, there will be an exercise slide that shows for 8 seconds. Students can do the exercise until the next word shows.

Encourage acts of kindness with this Winter Kindness Freebie!! Students will set goals in throughout winter. Each time they achieve one of these goals, they will color a pair of mittens on their sheet and write about it in their Kindness Book. After all of their acts of kindness are completed, there is a writing activity included for students to write about what they have learned and how their acts made a difference!

Simply drag and drop the correct answer into the box. Picture cues and differences in answer box sizes will help younger learners. This can also be a great opportunity to use the Smartboard markers to locate sight words within sentences, find and mark punctuation and capitalization.

These math problems are designed to make students to act them.Through dramatizing they discover what to do. Both the actors and the spectators are very focused and motivated to solve them.
You can customize them by adding the name of your students.
In addition you can use the worksheets doing cooperative learning (by groups using different strategies), group work, work math centers , couples or individual.

This clip chart is used to track students’ progress as they go through the writing process. Students change their clip after conferencing with an adult so that students can work at different paces. This helps with differentiation for writing.
There are three sets of clip charts and they can be used separately or mix and matched. There is black and white chevron, yellow and white chevron, and pink and lime green polka dots. These match my classroom decor sets.
