The poster shows an iceberg and makes the connect that metaphors are icebergs, in that they have more under the surface than you can see at first glance, just like an iceberg. The center of the iceberg gives a brief introduction of icebergs and metaphors.
Your students will love how the visual of the iceberg anchors the learning about metaphors for them in something that they can see. Print it out on standard A4 paper or use the included poster-size copy and cover an entire wall space.
