Pre-Kindergarten – 1st Grade

This is such an easy project to do! This is based upon 4 gingerbread stories, which are The Gingerbread Boy, The Gingerbread Girl, The Gingerbread Pirate, and The Gingerbread Baby. After reading the stories, children choose their favorite gingerbread friend and create it from paper or draw with crayons. I have included a gingerbread outline, gingerbread girl dress, and gingerbread pirate hat and pants templates. There are 3 writing options.

The full color illustrations can be laminated and used as a visual pattern for students to follow as they create their character.

Student pages can be bound into a class book. A cover for the class book is included.

I woke up in a funk the other morning so I pulled the covers over my head trying to go back to sleep. As I began to doze, my dog stuck her head under the sheet and I felt her cold nose on my leg. I knew that trying to stay in bed was futile, so I threw on some clothes and took her outside feeling frustrated and annoyed. As we began walking, the pain in my knee and heel started to subside and the phrase, attitude of gratitude came into my head as I realized how lucky I am to be able to walk, others aren’t so fortunate.

And Christmas coloring sheets that help with practicing counting, number recognition, and one-to-one correspondence? ‘Tis the season!

These Christmas-themed coloring pages cover numbers 1-10. They’re great for kids who are just learning numbers and for kids who already know their numbers but still need practice with counting bigger numbers. Plus, coloring regularly is one of the best ways kiddos can keep building the fine motor strength in their hands that will prepare them for learning handwriting later on.

After my son completes a series of educational coloring sheets like this that all fit into a theme, I like to laminate them, hole punch them, and put them into a binder so that he can continue looking at them and learning. He’s always so much more interested in “studying” a booklet I’ve made him when he helped color it!

Overview:
This book was inspired by Apple A Day’s behavior management system for December: Run as Fast as You Can to Catch Our Good Choices! This super cute book uses gingerbread characters to assist students in learning and remembering the doubles facts up to 20 while applying these facts within their daily math problems. Set to rhyme, this book is sure to be a favorite among your little ones!

Purpose:
To increase each student’s knowledge and understanding of the doubles facts up to 20. This book will aid in the learning, memorizing and application of these facts to an array of mathematical settings.
