Cut out the reindeer number sentence cards, laminate for durability and place them around your room. Give each child a recording sheet and let them get some wiggles out while also being productive and practicing their math skills!

There are 2 different levels included. The first group of reindeer can be used for “Adding Doubles and 0” and the second group is for
“adding 1” to help accommodate different learning levels.

This is a great listening center with Christmas video songs. The students will scan the QR codes and listen to their favorite Christmas song.

All you need is an iPad, iPod, tablet, etc and download the free QR reader app. The students will use this app to scan the QR codes and become actively engaged listening and watching Christmas video songs.

Enjoy this freebie in the coming days before Christmas!

The theme is all things Christmas and the skill is beginning sounds.

Directions to play:
*Cut out the cards and place them on desks or around the classroom
*Have each child take a recording sheet
*Give the students a minute or two to read the clue and write the response.
*When you feel the class is ready to move to the next clue say “SCOOT”!
*Continue until all clues have been answered.
*When the class is done share the answer key for them to correct their work.

Students will rearrange equations into slope-intercept form (solve for y in terms of x). Then they will identify the slope or y-intercept.

Make practice more fun with this eight question self-checking activity!

An answer key is included along with an optional student outline for showing work.

In Math, I feel repetition, reflection, and thinking about their own thinking is extremely important. I think they need a constant spiral of the concepts we want them to master. I LOVE my kids and I LOVE Math, so I hope that shines through this product.
You may use this product in many different ways, but I will tell you how I plan to use it to give you an idea. Every morning my kids have jobs to do when they first get here. The morning can be a crazy time with them going to breakfast, settling in, ordering lunch, etc. These jobs get them in the groove pretty quickly. One of their jobs in the morning will be to get out their Common Core Math Journals. I put the whole month in a 3 ring binder. In the morning they flip to the page they need to do for that day. When we have done all the days in that month, I pull it out, staple it and send it home. Then, I’ll put the next month in.
I’ve been to a few workshops on Math that really stress the importance of reflection after a lesson. So, that’s why I included the bottom part. My kiddos do the top part in the morning and then after Math is done, they pull out their Math journals and write in their reflection for the day. I don’t know if it’s the top part or the reflection part, or a combo of both, but my kids are better at Math and retaining information better than EVER! I hope you see this to through the use of this product!

Children practice letter identification and fine motor skills as they find capital and lower case letters in the maze. This little activity focuses on the letters S and P and makes a cute addition to your literacy centers during the Holidays. Print and laminate the sheets and allow children to complete the trail through the maze using erasable whiteboard markers or print out one for each child and have them colour in each square that has the correct letter in it.

Includes “S is for Santa” and “P is for Penguin” cards, 6 mazes and solutions.

This is a game that is played like the popular game Pictionary. There are 36 sets of cards in color and black/white with holiday terms on them. One artist from each team draws the chosen card trying to get their team to guess the correct term. The team with the most points at the end wins the game. The word wall is great for them to refer to for spelling and/or ideas. Could be used whole group or in a center. Word wall can be displayed in a transparent sign or stapled to the writing sheet so each child can have their individual word wall.

This freebie can also be used as an Assessment Tool by teachers to determine if students can count by 2s.

 November is Thanksgiving time and most of us will be celebrating with a turkey dinner. Did you know that the Native American Indians were raising turkey as far back as 1000 A.D. ? Did you know that the Aztecs, of Mexico, were raising turkeys even earlier, about 200 B.C. ? Did you know that the state of Minnesota raises more turkeys each year than any other state? An estimated 44 million were raised in 2013! Share these fun factoids on the turkey with family and friends!
