This organizer is perfect to send home with students who are absent at school! I have a student ambassador that is in charge of filling out this organizer and attaching make-up work for the student who is out that day. This is especially helpful when the students have multiple classes.

A fun and interactive way to practice identifying equivalent fractions. Students will each be given a card and will respond when the answer to the question asked is on the students card. This activity gets ALL students involved! The prep is SUPER EASY just print them out and give each student a card!

Pre-Kindergarten – 3rd Grade

This is a visual way to do attendance that is quick and easy. I use cards that are made of 3 x 5 stock, and I put a home label on the bottom of one side, and a school label on the bottom of the other side. Above the school label I put each child’s picture, so when they are at school you can actually see their face. Every morning kiddos come in and find their card on the home side, and flip it to school. I like to make my own cards so they are personalized every year. The labels are formatted to Avery label 5395 (or equivalent size). So here are the labels that I use for my pocket chart. I’ve uploaded them in a word file so all you have to do is change the names to fit your class and you are ready to go. We hope you find this useful!

Group work is always tricky to evaluate because there is so much going on. In addition, as educators, we are required to give detailed feedback on students’ performances.

I created this FREE document to make the teacher’s job easier, and to allow students to be responsible for their success as well.

Self-evaluation grids are a great way to guide students in their evaluations. Students will know exactly what is expected of them and will be made responsible for their success. This package can also easily be changed to be used as peer evaluations.

This self-evaluation grid will help students as well as teachers to assess students’ group work. When students use this grid to assess their work, there are no surprises when they receive their final mark. This grid, in particular, allows the students to become organized and responsible for their individual parts.

These self-evaluation grids are also very helpful to teachers:
 Helps the teacher justify the final mark;
 Helps to identify students’ weaknesses and strengths;
 Helps parents and students better understand the task required;
 Helps teachers create rubrics for the final evaluation.

Because of formatting issues, this package was created in a PDF document, but I can easily email you a Word file to be easily modified and changed according to the individual teacher’s needs.

Keep your students writing all December long with these 9 no-prep holiday writing prompts. There are six Christmas prompts, two each for opinion, informative, and narrative writing. There are also three Hanukkah prompts, one for each of the three writing types.

These prompts will work perfectly with I Heart Paragraph Writing – Paragraph of the Week as a seasonal prompts. They could also be used with whatever paragraph program you are using, or you could simply use them as a jumping off point and use notebook paper for organizing, first draft, editing, and final drafts. A fun Christmas Party Game! Stick or Pin the Nose on the Reindeer. Try this quick little game that is fun for all ages. Print out the reindeer with no nose, and then hang it up on the wall. Use a red pom pom for the nose for Rudolph or a black one if you want to make a different reindeer or caribou. Instead of using pins, get some petroleum jelly, put some where the nose is supposed to go, and give each contestant a dab on their nose! Kids have to stick a pom pom on their nose, walk over to the reindeer poster, and attempt to transfer the pom pom nose to the reindeer’s face! It’s pretty difficult, so no blindfolds are necessary! Enjoy this free printable for some quick fun this Christmas at school or at home for your holiday gathering! Merry Christmas!

It gives students an exciting way to learn and review words that are commonly seen in Christmas and holiday stories and text.
