This booklet shows how you can build a feature of player jumping through planes yet standing on them. This material is ideal for students proceeding at their own pace. (I personally find this the most effective way to study coding.)
These syllable division bookmarks and anchor chart are fun activities to practice reading multisyllable words. Use these interactive bookmarks during guided reading to help students find and decode difficult words. Students can use the focus box to highlight words they need to learn. An anchor chart is also included to provides visual clues. This can be used as a group or individual activity and is great for reading centers and special education. It is designed to work with any Orton-Gillingham based reading program and is perfect for students with dyslexia.
Knowing how to divide and read syllables takes away the guessing and gives struggling readers the tools to accurately pronounce and spell words. Better decoding leads to improved reading fluency and comprehension.

Have you ever told your students to take notes and they either highlight almost everything (sometimes even changing colors with their fancy highlighters to make it look like a rainbow pattern) or they take bullet points on everything? Did you know that there is a Random Acts of Kindness Week? It runs from February 16 through the 23rd. Actually, this is the first I’ve heard of it, but what a groovy way for all of us to unite by being kind to each other. It begins with one simple act – one hello to a stranger, a simple smile, a pat on the back, a cup of coffee for someone you don’t know, or as my husband experienced, pay it forward. This is a chance for participating individuals to make our world a better one and inspire others to follow suit.
I have been so lucky to have a teacher bestie at every twist and turn in my teacher life, and this post is just a love letter to each of them, and to the universe for placing each of them in my life.

The Spelling Flip Book is designed to help young learners become familiar with spelling rules and to incorporate them into their work.
Students can color and personalize their flip books to enhance the spelling learning experience.
I always like encouraging my students to use their flip books as reference sheets when they are working to promote good spelling habits. The goal is that eventually, by using the flipbook when working, the student will begin to remember common errors made in the past and correct them. I have had much success with this strategy in my classes.
I’ve also included a color copy and an answer key – a total of 18 pages.

This is a free sample of our Math Art worksheets. This download includes one worksheet requiring the pupils to evaluate expressions using algebraic substitution. Once pupils have completed the questions they need to shade all the squares with that answer in the color stated. This results in a Valentine’s image. This download includes both the UK and US versions taking into account the spelling differences.
Our purchasable Math Art has at least two, usually three differentiated worksheets per topic.

Along with honoring Martin Luther King, Jr., this week is our union’s
one year “strikeversary”. What a perfect time to reflect and teach our
students to stand up for what is right.
“When it comes to adding and subtracting positive and negative numbers, many students have great difficulty. In reality, it is a very confusing and abstract idea; so, it is important to give the students a concrete visual to assist them in seeing the solution. This clip chart is used to track students’ progress as they go through the writing process. Students change their clip after conferencing with an adult so that students can work at different paces. This helps with differentiation for writing.
There are three sets of clip charts and they can be used separately or mix and matched. There is black and white chevron, yellow and white chevron, and pink and lime green polka dots. These match my classroom decor sets.
