Attitude of Gratitude
Attitude of Gratitude: Things I'm Thankful For

I woke up in a funk the other morning so I pulled the covers over my head trying to go back to sleep.  As I began to doze, my dog stuck her head under the sheet and I felt her cold nose on my leg. I knew that trying to stay in bed was futile, so I threw on some clothes and took her outside feeling frustrated and annoyed. As we began walking, the pain in my knee and heel started to subside and the phrase, attitude of gratitude came into my head as I realized how lucky I am to be able to walk, others aren’t so fortunate.

Multiple Ways to Multiply
When we spend enough time early in the year on place value and number sense, teaching multiplication and division go much more smoothly. Students grasp the concept of multiplication in multiple ways, so I try to introduce more than “the only way” to solve.

FREE MATH LESSON – “Color & Count Christmas Theme | Counting Coloring Sheets for Pre-K”

by RoShamBo Homeschooling
Pre-Kindergarten – 1st Grade

This FREE printable includes 10 coloring sheets that will help get your kiddo in the Christmas spirit!

One thing I know my son can never get enough of is new coloring sheets.

And Christmas coloring sheets that help with practicing counting, number recognition, and one-to-one correspondence? ‘Tis the season!

These Christmas-themed coloring pages cover numbers 1-10. They’re great for kids who are just learning numbers and for kids who already know their numbers but still need practice with counting bigger numbers. Plus, coloring regularly is one of the best ways kiddos can keep building the fine motor strength in their hands that will prepare them for learning handwriting later on.

After my son completes a series of educational coloring sheets like this that all fit into a theme, I like to laminate them, hole punch them, and put them into a binder so that he can continue looking at them and learning. He’s always so much more interested in “studying” a booklet I’ve made him when he helped color it!

Please let me know if you have any questions prior to purchasing.

Math requires constant practice – something most of my students dread doing. FREE MATH LESSON – “Factoring GCF a=1 Task Cards (Digital/PDF)”

8th – 10th Grade

This FREE download includes both a PDF and digital Google Slides version of this activity.

Links are included for both a student copy of the task cards and an answer key. You may combine them if you want to create a self-checking activity. I felt that Google Slides was more user friendly than Google Forms for this particular set of task cards.

Need to provide your students with engaging practice? Task cards are great for this whether they are used traditionally or digitally.

Ten task cards are included in this free resource. Students will factor out the greatest common factor, then finish by factoring the polynomial expression completely. All factoring will be done with the “a” value equal to 1.

FREE MATH LESSON – “Odd and Even Sort (Numbers to 30) Halloween/Pumpkin Theme FREE!”

by Mrs Magee
Kindergarten – 2nd Grade

Need some fun, seasonal practice of odd and even numbers? Print the header cards and number cards in either color or black and white. (If printing in black, print on colored paper for more fun!) I recommend using cardstock to make your cards as durable as possible when laminating.

Use the cards in a pocket chart with the whole class or as a center activity. Place the pumpkins under the correct header.

A cut and paste worksheet is included that can be used as homework, independent practice, or a recording sheet to use with a center.

When printing, make sure to select theoption to scale to fit paper!

Have fun, and Happy Halloween!

FREE MATH LESSON – “Irrational Numbers Crossword and Proof Irrationals Exist 8.NS.A.1 or 8.NS.A.2”

by TheBrightestKid
7th – 9th Grade

This resource is for 8th grade students who are studying about irrational numbers, or it can be used with grades 7-9 as an extra material for math oriented / talented students.

Crossword asks about concepts that are related to rational and irrational numbers and number sets in general. That can be easily used as part of courses 8.NS.A.1 or 8.NS.A.2 with all students.

There is also something about history of irrational numbers and a proof that square root of 2 is irrational. The proof goes beyond standard curriculum for 8th graders, but can be introduced as extra information.
