Weekly Behavior Reports with a teddy bear theme are available here in English and Spanish. What Kind of Day Did I Have? and What Kind of Day Did I Have in Kindergarten are both in this file so that it can be used for any primary grade or even Pre-K. The Spanish translation has really helped me since I teach in a school with a high concentration of Spanish speaking ELL students. This helped me better communicate with all my parents and behavior issues have dropped significantly. I hope it helps you also.

* Revised 4/19/14 to include a fun new Dr. You Know Who Theme! I’m including color and black and white of the new version, plus I’m leaving the old one because I just can’t seem to part with it yet. I hope you enjoy the fun new version of this speech sound chart.

This is just a little guideline we use in my school district based on a chart we all received in grad school. I spruced it up because we couldn’t find a good copy of the original one. (Mine was a copy of a copy of a copy!) I know there are multiple versions of this development chart out there, and the later developing sounds are often slightly different on each version. This has worked for us as a quick and easy version to show teachers and parents.

In this free lab students will use a simple calorimeter to determine the heat of crystallization (solidification) of a wax sample. This lab provides an excellent “visual and hands-on” lesson on the heat exchange that occurs during crystallization.

Suitable for physical science and chemistry students in grades 9-12.

Purpose of the Lab:

To determine the heat of crystallization (solidification) of a wax sample from experimental data.
To gain lab experience in using a calorimeter and in carrying out calculations used in calorimetry.

Materials:

16 x 125 mm test tube
250 mL Beaker
Ring stand and ring
Hot plate
100 mL Graduated cylinder
Thermometer
Styrofoam cup
Safety goggles
Wax sample
Balance
Test tube tongs

This camouflage t-chart sorting activity is perfect for review or assessment! Students read each description card that lists an animal and a habitat. They then cut and paste the card onto the correct side of the t-chart (camouflaged or not camouflaged). This can be done as independent work, as part of a whole class discussion, or in partners/small groups. Just print and go! Black and white design is printer friendly and saves on ink.

Free Emergent Readers about Adam and Eve – 3 Differentiated Levels using the same pictures, but different words. Images pictures are from the easiest level.

The sentences in this little bible story are based on a pattern with predictable endings. The last part in each sentence changes, but can be determined by focusing on the picture clues.

Permission is granted to make copies for classroom use, Sunday School, and home study. All graphics are from Charlotte’s Clips.

Are you looking for a way to make your students more focused on what they should be learning, and more motivated to fill in gaps in their knowledge? This document contains specific objectives for content such as heat transfer, specific heat, electromagnetic radiation, water phase change, and kinetic and potential energy, written in first person, student-friendly language. They also include a list of suggested vocabulary for that unit assessment. Students can rate how they are doing on each one on a descriptive scale. They can then use these to guide their studying, ask questions, etc.

I started making “Keeping Track of my Learning” Pages for each unit and they have completely changed my class! I sometimes use them at the start of a unit, midway through, or at the end as a starting point to focus their review. On my course evaluations, many of my past students said this was one of the things that helped them the most!

With this no-prep activity, students will find the volume of various prisms and cylinders. Then, they will find their answer on the abstract picture and fill in the space with a given pattern to reveal a beautiful, fun Zen design! Students can color their final products or leave them in black and white. Either way, your classroom will be decorated with beautiful artwork as the students practice their geometry skills!

This activity is an excellent resource for sub plans, enrichment/reinforcement, early finishers, and extra practice with some fun. It is especially useful for end-of-year practice, spiral review, and motivated practice when students are exhausted from standardized testing or mentally “checked out” before a long break (hello summer!).
