These labels are for streamlining your notes as you observe students during math workshop (or any time). During the class, you can jot down the student’s name, and then use the checklist to help save time in writing down a note. At the end of the day (or week) you can transfer the sticker to an index card for each student (as shown in the picture), a student folder, or s student binder. The labels come in 3 different forms (as shown in the preview).

Do you assess student reading fluency using an Oral Reading Fluency [ORF] Assessment? This resource is designed to keep your students motivated and on track to reading their words read per minute goals.

Easy to use design:

To use the chart I recommend printing 1 copy, filling in your district’s benchmark targets for your grade level, and marking those goals on the chart. Then photocopy a class set. As students are assessed on their Oral reading fluency shade in the graph to show how many words they read per minute on their assessment.

It is a good idea to talk with students about the progress they are making and strategies for improving their reading fluency each time you assess them. You may also want to set personalized midpoint goals for students to work towards.

Always remember to celebrate the progress students are making towards their goals to keep their momentum going.

Summer Reading Club was designed to give your child a worthwhile reading incentive for the summer.

Your child(ren) log the books that they read on the sheet provided.

They can then turn in their completed sheets for a Reading Certificate and for prizes.

There are several logs to choose from suitable for all ages.

There are printable bookmarks and activity pages as well.

Have Fun Reading!

Directions:

You can choose to set your Summer Reading Club up any way you wish.

Here is one suggestion:

Print a log sheet for each child. There are several to choose from.

For every book completed (or designated time spent reading), award your child a token.

Allow your children to turn in their tokens for the cool prizes listed on the Token Redemption Sheet. They may turn them in whenever or on a designated day, such as every Friday.

At the end of the summer or when a certain number of books or hours spent reading has been achieved, reward your children with the Reading Certificate included.

As we all know, a major component of the Common Core State Standards is students being able to self assess their learning and evaluating the work they produce. Therefore, it is our job as teachers to provide students with a list of measurable criteria that they can use to self assess their progress towards a learning target. In addition, the list of measurable criteria can help you to create models of exemplary work that students can also use to self assess. This step by step handout will help you to focus on the learning target to identify essential learning and develop how students will demonstrate mastery of the learning target. You can then take these pieces of the puzzle to create clear and specific statements that describe exactly what your students needs to do to master their learning in any subject. There is also a model handout already completed to help guide you through the process of creating measurable criteria.

12 Chinese Brag Tag or Affirmation to give to students. Print them out on cardstock or plain paper, laminate them (if you wish), and cut them out!

I have prepared 30 words of affirmation but not sure would it be useful or is there a market for it. Hence, I decided to give 12 basic brag tag for free to test the water.

Anecdotal note-taking can be quite a feat for educators who are already doing so much to collect data that informs further instruction, so use this handy tracker to save you time and keep you organized!

Teacher Tips: use with a group or individual students. Copy and keep a different document titled with the students’ names, and store them into a folder for easy navigation and organization.
