This banner spells out “B E N V E N U T I ” in Italian. It will welcome students to your Italian classroom. There is one letter per page. The letter “I” is actually the leaning tower of Pisa. There is also an Italian flag shield on each page. Letters can be cut out into triangle shapes or used as they are. May be stapled to a bulletin display or hung using string. All you have to do is fold each letter over the string and hang in your classroom.

Help promote positive classroom behavior! Use this form to print bucketfilling forms to be used by your students! Students fill out the form to fill another child’s bucket! Students love to have a record of their bucket being filled! The form includes a cute bucket graphic and lines for them to write a nice note. The note says, “I would like to fill ____’s bucket by saying___. From: __”

Each sheet has nine cards lined up so you just have to cut between the line.

A quick fun way to practice the -at word family.

This fun FREEBIE is played like the classic “Don’t Eat Pete” with a little fun twist!

Directions: Played like the classic game of “Don’t Eat Pete.” Place one candy or treat of your choice on each square. One student turns around while the rest choose one square/owl/word to be “Pete.” When the child turns back, they choose a square by saying the word on the square and eating the candy. If the student chooses “Pete” the other students (whisper) shout “Don’t Eat Pete!” and that students turn is over.

FREE MATH LESSON – “{FREE} Telling Time Challenge – Create a Schedule!”

This activity will help students practice telling time in different ways. They will be tasked with creating a classroom schedule based on a table of subjects with time descriptors such as “quarter to 9” and “5 minutes past 12”.

Students will use the information in the table to fill out schedule cards with the subject name and the time on digital and analog clocks. Then, have students cut apart the schedule cards and arrange them in the correct order. You can have students glue the cards in their notebooks or mount them on construction paper.

Included is one project page with student directions and table, schedule cards in 2 different sizes, and an answer key. Challenge students to tell and write the time in multiple ways!

Knowing this is one thing, but actually finding time in our overcrowded class routines for our children to connect with nature is increasingly tricky…

What Kind of Day Did I Have? and What Kind of Day Did I Have in Kindergarten are both in this file so that it can be used for any primary grade or even Pre-K. The Spanish translation has really helped me since I teach in a school with a high concentration of Spanish speaking ELL students. This helped me better communicate with all my parents and behavior issues have dropped significantly. I hope it helps you also.

* Revised 4/19/14 to include a fun new Dr. You Know Who Theme! I’m including color and black and white of the new version, plus I’m leaving the old one because I just can’t seem to part with it yet. I hope you enjoy the fun new version of this speech sound chart.

This is just a little guideline we use in my school district based on a chart we all received in grad school. I spruced it up because we couldn’t find a good copy of the original one. (Mine was a copy of a copy of a copy!) I know there are multiple versions of this development chart out there, and the later developing sounds are often slightly different on each version. This has worked for us as a quick and easy version to show teachers and parents.

This camouflage t-chart sorting activity is perfect for review or assessment! Students read each description card that lists an animal and a habitat. They then cut and paste the card onto the correct side of the t-chart (camouflaged or not camouflaged). This can be done as independent work, as part of a whole class discussion, or in partners/small groups. Just print and go! Black and white design is printer friendly and saves on ink.
