1st – 4th Grade

I use these printables before, during, and after a unit. Next week we are starting our unit on Egypt. I put the students into pairs and they get to choose which sheet they want to fill out. They have to write five questions about the unit. If they have the ‘Why’ paper, they have to come up with 5 ‘why’ questions. I make every group choose a different question. Then I read them all to the class. After that, I post them in the room. As we are learning, if they hear an answer to a question, I let them get up and fill it in. At the end of the unit if we have any unanswered questions, we go in the computer lab and do a little research to see if we can find the answers. They love these! These printables correlate with common core standard RL.2.1.
These can also be used as a literacy center. You can laminate them and put them in a folder with different pictures and the students can ask questions about the pictures.

Make your own Color By Number celebrations of spring with this set of editable pictures. Every image is pre-numbered with EDITABLE text boxes so that you can customize the activity for YOUR subject, grade level, or differentiated tasks.

You will receive:

4 black line images with editable text boxes
4 black line images without text boxes (useful for resizing).
4 color images with text boxes (for you to make a key)
4 color images without text boxes (for resizing).

If you need a few more sections for the task you have in mind, feel free to add sections using the shapes or drawing tools in PowerPoint. In short, you can customize these pictures to EXACTLY suit your individual needs no matter what grade or subject you teach.

Why is this a PowerPoint file? In PowerPoint, it’s easy to move pictures, add text boxes and draw lines wherever you need them. By using PowerPoint for this product, I’ve made your work as easy and flexible as possible.

Just a Dream to Save Our Planet includes printable and digital resources to help guide discussions about environmental issues. The lessons are based on a classic children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg called Just a Dream. The book was written in 1990, but its message about the need to take care of our Earth still holds true today. In this story, Walter is careless with his trash and scoffs at the idea of planting trees to help the environment. Then he has a dream that takes him to the future where he discovers an Earth that’s uninhabitable due to air and water pollution. Walter’s dream helps him understand why it’s important to conserve the earth’s resources. The printable versions of the activities are included in the PDF, and links to the Google Slides versions are located in the lesson descriptions.

This math activity pack is perfect for spring/Easter. Just add jellybeans! Students will practice fractions, create a bar graph, solve word problems (long division w/1 digit divisor, multi-step, and multi-digit multiplication), and complete a color-by-product page with two options- one with colors chosen & one where the students can chose their own colors. This was an easy way to engage my students while doing a mix of different practice skills.

Five Printable Pages featuring the fractions work, word problems, bar graph page, and color-by-product.

Would you like your students to keep track of which Daily 5 activities they complete. Would you like to encourage them to not always pick the same choice? These rainbow trackers are just what you need!

Students color in which activity they did each day on the rainbow, and then when they complete all 5, you check it, they color in the 6th part.

You could have them take their rainbow home to show their parents, give them a sticker or reward for filling it, or display it somewhere in your classroom. You could also graph how many times each student fills their rainbow. Whatever you choose, your students will love to use their rainbow trackers!

There is also a copy that could be used for centers. Just print it out, write in your 6 different centers, and use it the same way.
