FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON – “Fluency Progress Graphs”
by MsJordanReads
2nd – 6th Grade

Do you have students who need regular fluency check-ups?
Visual representations of growth and progress are powerful influences on student motivation, and allow for opportunities of celebrating growth as readers!
These Fluency Progress Graphs are perfect for monitoring of oral reading fluency progress! Each week students can read a passage and the teacher or student can graph the progress of words per minute (wpm) on the chart! You can make it a line graph or a bar graph, you decide the format and fill in your own numbers (on the line or in the boxes!).
**Use these graphs in conjunction with my FREE “What is Fluency?” Student Reference Sheet
Different versions of these progress graphs are available as part of a larger 70-page fluency unit called “Fluency Boot Camp.” Check it out in my TpT store (link below)!

I always approach the end of the school year with mixed emotions, though I’m ecstatic to be out for summer vacation, I always feel a little sad saying good-bye. Many of my soon to be 7th graders hug me and leave with tears in their eyes, knowing that our little family will no longer be together. All the trials and tribulations, the challenges, the fun times and sad times will be always be with us, but it will never be the same.
