This product consists of a Summary of Methods for Graphing a Linear Equation worksheet and a Summary of Methods for Solving Linear Systems.

The Summary of Methods for Graphing a Linear Equation worksheet is a template with a summary of three methods for graphing a linear equation, including:

~ Point Plotting

~ X- and Y-intercepts

~ Slope-Intercept

Instructions are given for each method to guide the students through calculating points and plotting them on a graph. A blank is provided for an equation so that the teacher can assign the same equation or different equations to be plotted using each method.

The Summary of Methods for Solving Linear Systems page includes a chart which interprets solutions obtained through Substitution and Addition (elimination) methods to help the student determine if the lines in the linear system intersect at one point, are parallel, or coincide. Terminology and the concept of the comparison of slopes and y-intercepts is included in the chart.

The trees are versatile enough to use in general non-holiday products, too….

This is a 30 card digital task card deck hosted on the BOOM Learning website that covers Multiplication Fact Fluency 0 – 12 facts. Students are asked to identify multiplication 0 – 12 facts. These digital task cards would be great on a laptop, desktop, Chromebook, tablet, or any mobile device that is able to access the internet. These can even be used on a SMARTBoard. The digital task cards are self-grading. There is no printing, laminating, storage, and no prep needed.

Come Little Leaves is a writing activity for beginning writers. In this activity, the students learn two lines from a rhyme, Come Little Leaves written by George Cooper in the early 1900’s. Once they learn the rhyme, two words from the rhyme are removed and the students replace them with words of their choosing. They then fill in the blanks with their replacement words and illustrate their new rhyme. Even though this activity uses a rhyme, it is not a rhyming activity, as the students are not necessarily choosing rhyming words to fill in the blanks. It is, however, a chance for them to use their imaginations and hone some beginning writing and thinking skills. Once the replacement words are chosen, the students then illustrate their “new” version of the rhyme. I hope you and your students have fun with this little activity. Richi Reynolds

This “Feasting on Subtraction Facts” center is a great way for your students to practice basic subtraction facts with some Thanksgiving fun graphics. You will receive 7 pages that include a student task card, student recording sheet for assessment, and ten ready to cut and use center cards for matching. I’ve modified the level of this center for younger students so early grade levels can enjoy it as well. This product is great for students to have as a reference guide for the names of the lines and spaces on the treble and bass stave.

PRINTABLE FORMAT:

Print and hand out to your music students.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

  1. The first page contains a diagram showing each note on the stave and its position on the keyboard.
  2. The second page outlines separately the pitch names of the lines and spaces on the treble stave and sentences that can be used to help students remember them in order.
  3. The third page outlines separately the pitch names of the lines and spaces on the bass stave and sentences that can be used to help students remember them in order.
  4. Pages four and five are for students to write out in music notation, as many words as they can, using only the notes of the stave.

DESCRIPTION: Wth these ESL speaking task cards students will be able to:
– become familiar with 24 different countries, nationalities, famous people from the country and languages spoken
– practice pronouncing international countries, languages and nationalities
– practice asking and answering Who is from?.. I’m from… using the contraction I’m and the verbs forms: I speak, I’m from, I’m etc… in the present tense for the first and third person singular forms: IE
I’m from Italy.
I’m Italian.
I speak Italian.

HOW TO PLAY: Distribute cards to students. If you have less than twenty four students you may distribute one card to a student. One student begins by stating: I’m from Italy. I’m Italian. I speak Italian. Who is from France? The student with France on the card then responds and asks the next question printed on the card. etc. Game will end with the same student who began the game.

Famous people were mostly selected from American pop culture so students can easily make an identification.

Also contains a blank set of three task cards for you to add your own nationalities.

Need an auditory memory activity that will be fun and engaging? This no prep digital Boom Cards brain exercise activity is perfect for practicing listening and thinking skills and developing auditory memory! Your kiddos will be able to practice shapes and colours while listening to and remembering instructions which they will need to follow.

This mind game activity can be used for distance or hybrid learning – or face to face teaching!

How this Auditory Memory Activity works:

  • Students will be given an auditory instruction, telling them to put something in a basket.
  • The students then move to the next card and need to drag a shape into the basket that fits the description in the instruction they were given.
  • Initially they are told either what shape OR what color item to put in the basket. They can choose any item that fits the instruction they have been given. The students are required to remember only one thing – EITHER a shape OR a colour.
  • In the last question the instructions become more specific – they get told the shape AND color of the item they must put in the basket. There will now only be one possible correct item for them to place in the basket. The difficulty increases as the students are now required to remember two things – BOTH a shape AND a colour.
  • In this level, students are only expected to remember one item that they must place in the basket.

This fun Brain Development Activity includes:

  • 9 Boom Cards altogether
  • 1 instruction card
  • 4 cards with auditory instructions that students will need to follow on the next card.
  • 4 cards for students to carry out the instructions they received on the previous card
  • Interactive drag and drop format
  • Boom Cards are self-checking and students get instant feedback!
