FREE MISC. LESSON – “No Bullies Allowed Playlets”

by Class around the Corner

2nd – 6th Grade

no-bullies-allowed-playlets

I am excited to offer a product that is near and dear to my heart.
These playlets are based on true stories about kids who have affected the lives of many children and adults alike.Use a real-life situation playlet to interact with your class on some important topics!

Each playlet can be presented in a matter of minutes; its purpose is to promote discussion about relevant issues in a fun way! Playlets can be done in class, on morning announcements, at parent and community functions.

In a Playlet, 4-5 students act out a short script. When the narrator says “FREEZE!” the characters become immovable while the students discuss what’s happening. Then the actors continue until the word “FREEZE!” occurs again. Discussion question posters are included.

The teacher is the director and guides discussion during EACH FREEZE. IF discussion gets lengthy, a fun thing to say to your actors is “UNFREEZE! AT EASE!” Then they can join in the discussion too!

You will see students with a strong understanding of bullying and disabilities awareness. Listen to their new conversations.

by Lee Ann Hall

During my fairy tale unit, I wanted to keep everything centered around fairy tales or fractured fairy tales. This is a math worksheet that uses characters from Shrek in the word problems. Both addition and subtraction.

FREE MISC. LESSON – “Positive Thought Posters”

by It’s a Teacher Thing

Kindergarten – 12th Grade

positive-thought-posters

Free! The Positive Thought Posters were created with the idea of spreading just that: POSITIVE THOUGHTS. I wanted something in my classroom that kids could read when their eyes are wandering. I also have them on the door, so when students leave the posters are the last thing they see. Recently, I’ve put them up all over our campus for the entire middle school population to enjoy.
I hope you find them inspiring.
ENJOY! You might also enjoy a few of my other products:
